Being a Woman and a Leader in Finance is a Strength
In a traditionally male-dominated industry, Petra Kordosova embodies a confident, committed, and resolutely modern form of female leadership. As CFO and Head of Compliance & Risk at Telomere Capital, she shares her vision of a financial world where performance, technology, and human values go hand in hand.

Petra Kordosova, you hold a key position within an independent wealth management firm. What does that mean to you as a woman?
I deeply believe that female leadership is a true asset in finance. In an environment that is demanding, structured, and sometimes still too rigid, we have the opportunity to introduce a different approach: more attentive, more transversal, often more mindful of human aspects—without compromising technical rigor.
As CFO and Head of Compliance & Risk at Telomere Capital, I strive every day to combine precision, strategic vision, and a strong sense of responsibility, all while staying true to my values. I’m not alone in this journey: several women play key roles within the company—Elizabeth Jacquier, Anaïs Stämpfli, and Mélanie Abad—each bringing her own style, strengths, and energy.
What I find remarkable is how seamlessly we work with our male colleagues. At Telomere, everyone brings unique value, regardless of gender. This diversity of perspectives and approaches is what makes our team truly strong.
You’ve also launched a wealth management service specifically for women. What inspired this initiative?
We’ve observed that female clients often have specific needs that aren’t always well addressed by traditional models. Many want to understand, ask questions, invest in line with their values, or simply regain control of their wealth following key life transitions. This dedicated service grew out of listening closely to those needs.
It’s not about offering “female” products, but rather about providing tailored, respectful, and personalized support. Our clients appreciate our transparency, the quality of our conversations, and our ability to craft wealth strategies that align with their personal values. It’s an approach that resonates deeply—because it meets a real demand.

What events or people have most influenced your journey and inspired your passion for finance?
Paradoxically, while my career today embodies female leadership, my energy and passion for finance have their roots in my father’s entrepreneurial spirit. He inspired me from a young age, especially after the early passing of my mother.
My determination and sense of discipline were later nurtured by my husband, who shares with me both a love for finance and a drive to exceed expectations. A long-time friend and colleague I met in banking also pushed me to step outside my comfort zone and keep challenging myself.
Finally, my balance and stability—both in decision-making and in life—are grounded in the unwavering support of my family, my sister, lasting friendships, and also in my openness, regular physical activity, reading, joy of life, and a deep trust in life itself.
Telomere Capital was founded on a strong vision. How does that shape your work on a daily basis?
Since its founding in 2015, Telomere Capital has been built around a spirit of performance, as well as independence and close client relationships. We serve private individuals, families, but also many entrepreneurs, executives, and healthcare professionals.
For families, executives, and entrepreneurs seeking holistic coordination of their wealth, we’ve developed a family office-style offering, enabling us to manage financial, legal, and tax aspects in an integrated way. We have also invested significantly in advanced technology tools. We’ve chosen to partner with firms offering solid expertise, as well as top-tier custodian banks, in order to deliver high value to our clients.
Despite our growth, we remain committed to ensuring exceptional quality and close support—not just in buoyant markets, but also during more challenging periods. Our clients benefit from high-value reporting, with detailed insights into performance, key contributors, and peer comparisons. This enables them to better understand, make informed decisions, and most importantly, feel truly supported over the long term. Lastly, we regularly participate in dialogues with leading institutions—such as Bloomberg, UBS, and Pictet—who, like us, are reflecting on the future of female leadership in finance. These conversations continue to shape our thinking and confirm that the future of our industry lies in diversity and openness.
To me, female leadership isn’t about opposing masculine models—but about enriching the overall vision. And if I had to sum up our team’s philosophy, I would say: At Telomere Capital, we believe in finance with a feminine perspective: uncompromising, yet meaningful. And in wealth management for all our clients, combining rigor and intuition—for lasting performance.
